Calling All Teens:
Welcome to the Apocalypse!
Tuesdays, 1-4pm
|
Join us at Nature Connections for story-based, gamified learning and fun in our original 'Skills of the Wild' episodic class series. Our 'Skills of the Wild' class is the step your child takes after Forest School when they are ready for more challenge. Parents of children in Skills of the Wild classes have called them "Forest School on Steroids", and "Scouts Plus". Children in our classes have told us "it's like Forest School, except better because we actually learn stuff".
We like learning stuff. See below for details.

Story Setting: Welcome to the Apocalypse!
In this session we will continue our adventures after the apocalypse, fleeing even further into the wilderness where we will need to rely on our skills and our friends like never before. We will meet new and memorable characters, including an original character played by this season's guest instructor: herbalist Amber Westfall from The Wild Garden!
Is your teen interested in meeting new friends and trying new things while learning wilderness skills to last them a lifetime? Are they up for the challenge of working with friends to problem solve using the skills they've learned to achieve their goals - occasionally in a race against time? We'd love to write them into our story! Equal spaces for adventurous girls and inquisitive boys are available. All experience levels are welcome. Curiosity is required.
*Disclaimer: your teen will get dirty, learn to use tools, think critically, ask questions, learn to manage risk, make new friends, and have fun. Our original stories and game challenges are supplemental to our wilderness skills classes, with our main focus being hands-on skills and learning. Many of our activities include practice in life and social skills also suitable for your teen's resume, such as: leadership development, team building, problem solving, effective communication, goal setting, group project management, and more.
