Learn how to live on the land while giving back to the Earth.
Nature Connections: Classes, Camps and More
Does your child love making bows and arrows, building forts, and imagining what it was like to live in the wild? Do they need to know everything about plants and animals, bombarding you with a million questions? Do they light up when they get to use tools, creating mini masterpieces with their very own hands? Do they love the environment and want to protect it with the help of their friends?
They may just be a Nature Connections kid: Curious, Capable and Kind.
Immerse your child in a world where we learn from the land and the skills of our ancestors. In small groups led by our multidisciplinary team of nature nerds, we work together to build, plant, harvest, study, observe, hike, play, and create. We explore bushcrafts and the skills of the wild, like natural fiber rope making, animal tracking, shelter building, baskets, weaving, fire, and so much more. We find and study bones, feathers, tracks, scat, and anything else the animals may have left behind. We learn about plants and which ones are safe to harvest, sharing bush tea, berries, and whatever happens to be in season. At Nature Connections, children work together with friends, developing inner strength, community, and the skills for a great future.
